Will the new Apple Watch 10 cellular bought in the US work in Europe?

If you are planing to use the US Apple Watch 10 in Europe permanently, there will be restrictions for the use of the Oxygen sensor, for example.

Also remember, that the warranty for an Apple Watch may be restricted by Apple to the country of purchase.

In case of a warranty claim, you will have to bring the watch back to the country of purchase, Apple Support does not ship internationally.

As mentioned, the hardware might not support all carriers in Europe, since these devices are supposed to be used in the country of purchase, due to the different built in hardware, that has to support local carriers, especially if it comes to LTE.

So make sure that your carrier in the Europe supports this model and all its features.

The watchOS is also country specific. An Apple Watch bought in the US will always install the watchOS version and all available features for the US.

Hi Sofi! It honestly depends on your Apple Watch Carrier you chose if they support it in Europe and if you turn on international roaming. ONLY IF your visiting if you live in Europe then no.

The US Ultra 2 model is the same in the US and Europe: Model A2622

I bought a US Ultra 2 back in October and use it with my eSim without trouble in Switzerland as well as I have used it in France.

Just make sure from that cellular page that your operator is mentioned in the list of Model A2622

As said, for now, the Oxygen device is disabled. But once the case is closed, Apple may enable it with a software update.

You can not bypass the disabled Blood Oxygen feature on an Apple Watch bought in the USA.

This feature is embedded in the country specific watchOS and the watch will always download this country specific firmware file, no matter where you download it.
