I connected iPhone to Windows 10 Pro machine, got latest version of iTunes. I got the usb sound and iPhone will show up in Windows Explorer but not in iTunes. It did show up in iTunes once but there was no 'Summary' anywhere. Now it does not show up at all. I tried this five times.

Sorry if this is repeat advice....
Check you installed programs and see if any/all of the following are installed:
1. Apple Music
2. Apple TV
3. Apple Devices for Windows
If they are installed, uninstall them, reboot, and try again.
I still no go, uninstall & reinstall iTunes
The programs above and iTunes do not play well together :-(

I don't think that's what jimbob meant.
All three of the things he mentioned are applications used as an alternative to iTunes. He is asking you to confirm that none of the three apps is installed on your computer. Look on your Start/Programmes menu, not in Explorer.
If you do not have any of those three apps installed, follow the links offered by javaliga.
