Why is Passwords app running in background (Sequoia)?

Has anyone else observed that the “Passwords” application is unexpectedly appearing beneath other windows, prompting for TouchID authentication? Upon further investigation, I discovered that it is also running in the background. Currently using MBP M1 Pro with Sequoia 15.1.

Password is Listed but Turned OFF

Could not help but also notice, the infamous CleanMyMac

Once this type of software is installed and embedded into the computer >> CleanMyMac aka " BrickMyMac "

You can spend hours or days hunting down all the bits and pieces of this software and never really get it all off the computer

Start Over from Scratch

For Apple Silicon computer >> Use Disk Utility to erase a Mac with Apple silicon.

For Apple Intel computers >>   Use Disk Utility to erase an Intel-based Mac followed by How to reinstall macOS

Always make a Time Machine Backup  before  proceeding

If going this route - I suggest Not using Startup Assist to migrate everything back.

This will probably Re-Introduce (CleanMyMac ) back into the Operating System

Certain Applications maybe available on the Apple Apps Store - this only means the Developer is prepared to pay Apple a percentage on each sale.

CleanMyMac , aka “ BrickMyMac
