How to sort contacts by first name iphone 16 pro max?

How do you sort or reorder contacts by the first name? When my contacts were transferred from a galaxy, that are in order by last name or stuff I have in parenthesis at the end of the name? I am also new to apple, so please explain in detail if you know how to do this. Can anyone please help me?
