Received a email saying my account is locked

I received an email saying my account was locked I tried to follow the instructions to unlock it until I got to a part asking for a credit card

The message is a scam attempt. As it appears you may have provided your Apple ID to the bogus site, you need to change your password for that account, immediately.

Just to reiterate stedman1's note, he's not kidding when he says, immediately.


If the crooks change the password before you do, you will never get that account back. Which means you will lose all app and music purchases, and whatever else is stored there.


Not to mention they will be able to see other personal information, such as your linked credit card, address, etc.


Change the password ASAP!
