iCloud for Windows sync stalls

I've been using iCloud for Windows for years and have been extremely disappointed with it. It's a very basic sync tool in Windows platform with no information for debugging any error which makes it very frustrating.

Every 6 months or so, it seems like the tool fails and gets into a loop when attempting to upload the entire file repository back again into iCloud drive with no reason. It starts and gets to "Uploading 1 item of x" where x is over 65,000 files in my case and nothing else happens other than consume 30-40% of CPU for nothing.

I'm syncing my files across mac OS, ipad and iphone without issues, however Windows is a different experience.

I've tried to logout, reinstall iCloud and do the file syncing again 3 times and after a while I reach the same issue.

Not sure what else to do other than getting to the conclusion that Apple iCloud Drive for Windows is a no option.

There are no log, no error messages, poor experience I have to say.
