My Windows computer does not recognize neither my iPhone nor my iPad

I was having issues getting my Itunes to recognize my Iphone and my iPad, it worked until a couple of weeks ago and I didn't install anything new. I checked the Device Manager and noticed that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver were disabled, there were several entries with the same name. I followed the apple support instructions here: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows and it said to delete the driver software (Step 2 of Reinstall the Apple Mobile Device Driver). After I did that to each of the entries I haven't been able to get them re-installed. I have tried numerous things including re-installing Itunes multiple times but this does not appear to reinstall the driver software.

I was finally able to download the USB driver manually and added it to the Common Files folder and although I've right click on the inf file and "Installed" the driver, it's still not appearing on the Device Manager.

Additionally the usb ports on my laptop are working fine as whenever I plug my iPad and iPhone they automatically start charging.er software? Any help is greatly appreciated.
