Facebook Home page screen changed on my iPad

Is your app updated to latest version? Is your iPad updated to latest version of iOS? What did Facebook support team say about the issue?

Do you have zoom enabled on the screen or larger/bolder fonts enabled?

It looks like you clicked on a photo and now you’re in a different view that doesn’t’ show the settings you’re missing. Clicking on a photo or trying to comment on a photo or post will change the view.

Exactly the same thing is happening here…..have tried other things like clearing the cache and deleting the app (and messenger) as well but it’s the same as the question above. Also when you click on a notification that has comments on it, you get a completely different screen layout as well, as per the screen shots below.

Also when clicking into “memories” very picture comes up very large (again see screen shot) Any help will be grateful. It very frustrating as one iPad is like it, but another one is working fine.

App has been deleted and reinstalled……when you then open FB it’s all perfect but then the chat vanishes after a few seconds……iPad is on the latest IOS…..only just contacted the help and support and not heard back yet.

I’m having the same problem but my wife’s exact same iPad on latest iPadOS (18.1.1) doesn’t have the issue. Go figure. But it’s made using FB virtually unusable. Reported to FB a week ago but no response.

I don’t have Facebook, but did you manage to somehow close the sidebar? (If that’s a feature)

it was updated to ios 18.? and reverted back to 17.7 by an apple retailer to fix issues with performance.

Is using the app or website? If website, what browser is she using?

Still haven’t heard anything at all back from the help and support, and the iPad is still the same, but our other one is fine (both 3rd generation) 🤷‍♂️….it makes it really unusable.
