My iPhone 13 Pro Max has been non operable since hours with the automated update of IOS 17.7.1. It is connected to a gigabit WiFi network too. I am not able to restart the phone either as the power off slide bar also doesn’t work. Need help.

I was glad to get Apple help and it was resolved. Had to force restart the device following the steps below:
Please remove iPhone case and connect it with power. Now please try to force restart by pressing/holding side button for at least 2 minutes.
1 Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2 Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3 Press and hold the side button.
Had to do this as the poweoff slidebar on touch screen was non-responsive
