Music, Movies and Videos missing after moving from iTunes to Apple Music

I moved my music, movies and videos from iTunes to Apple Music (PC Windows 11). The items I previously uploaded (music, movies & videos) are not in Apple Music and Apple TV. Do I have to subscribe in order to see MY uploads? Thank you.

While Apple Music for Windows normally seems to interrogate your old iTunes library when installed perhaps something went wrong on this occasion and/or the Apple TV app isn't quite so sophisticated. You can see if there are options to import local content (File > Add folder to library?), in which case you can import the Music, Movies and TV Shows folders that are in your old iTunes Media folder into Apple Music and Apple TV apps respectively. Personally I'd roll back to iTunes by uninstalling the Music/TV/Devices apps so iTunes is no longer limited to audiobooks and podcasts. iTunes is still the better option on Windows.

I've temporarily installed these apps to check for another issue. In Apple Music you can use the three dots ... (ellipsis) menu at the top left, then Library > Add Folder to Library. In Apple TV it is ... > Add Folder to Library, with Ctrl+Shift+O being a keyboard shortcut in both apps.

Both apps should show your unhidden purchase history in the cloud when you are signed into your Apple ID.
