Opening ID details in Wallet

I have an iPhone 16 Plus with Face Recognition that I’ve been using for a couple months with no problems. I have added my D/L to my wallet. Whenever I open Wallet and tap to see Details of my license, the Face Recognition doesn’t work! It is enabled in the Wallet app, so what am I missing? I thought I’d be able to open the app and show a restaurant the pics of my license I had to take to add it to the app.
