MacOS mouse shortcuts are reset upon restart or shutdown

Surely there is a benefit of discussion regarding the issue. I’m glad this thread is here to confirm that it isn’t just me having the issue.

This isn’t a helpful response. Mac OS X/macOS worked for decades using third-party mice and didn’t forget settings for them. Now it is. I haven’t installed any third-party drivers for any of my mice in macOS, ever.

Technically, Apple Does Not Own " Logitech "

Therefore, Apple is not responsible the fix that which they do not Own

In the close to 2 decades of using Apple Devices and Services

Apple has never tailored made the Apple Computers and versions of OS X / macOS to work with Third Party anything

What the user takes away from this, is really up to the user .

If the mouse is a Logitech Mouse - it is all about Logitech

Weird thing for me is that I had my M2 Macbook side by side with my M4 for a short while, had no issue on my M2 and this keeps happening with the M4. Along with usb-c monitor issues that I didn't have on the M2

Thank you for this! This solution worked for me but NOTE that to find the plist file to copy I had to go to ~/Library/Container/Desktop & Dock/Data/Library/Preferences instead. For whatever reason the other folder (com.apple.Desktop-Settings.extension) didn't exist. Perhaps they moved it in 15.3 (but didn't fix the bug!)?

This indeed fixed it for me on my Mac mini 2018.

Everything back to normal: both keyboard shortcuts and mouse shortcuts work as before.

It is confirmed: it is a bug introduced in macOS 15.1 Sequoia.

Stopped working. Now I can see in the Settings what is set as shortcut, but does not function at all. Tried resetting the shortcut to "None" and assign it again, it shows up but does not function at all.

Had to delete both .plist files, then my Mac is at its previous state again.

This is super annoying. Happens on my M1 Mac mini (15.1.1 (24B91)).

I also use my middle mouse button for Mission Control and have to remap it each time I reboot or log out.

This is still an issue in 15.2

Hope Apple look into this and get it fixed soon! 🤞
