Unpause Game Mode?

I have accidentally managed to pause game mode. Having watched numerous videos on YouTube I'm unable to locate a solution. By definition paused means it’s not active it’s service has been interrupted, it indicates it’s on but still has its paused status. I’ve now noticed since the latest update to Sequoia 15.1 and with game mode in paused mode when playing games my MacBook Pro M1 fan is continually on. The subsequent battery life has been dramatically affected I literally get an hours use of my MacBook on battery. Does anyone know how to unpause Game Mode? This is the only thing I can tell that’s causing the issue.
