I was going to trade in a M1 Macbook Pro Max, but I decided to keep it. Can i trade-in my M1 Macbook air instead for whatever it is worth? Rather than have the amount go to an apple card or different device, i want the trade-in to go toward the macbook I just bought .

To reach Apple Sales in the United States, you can call their dedicated sales line at 1-800-780-5009.
The answer is: yes. Apple specialist told me to just return the different item, and the value would be adjusted accordingly.
