Apple Pencil Pro was drawing as if tilted when it wasn’t, and switching arbitrarily between straight and tilted

my issue was that the Apple Pencil pro was drawing as if tilted when it wasn’t, and switching arbitrarily between straight and tilted. I sent in my pencil pro for inspection and got a new one, but a day later the problem remained the same. The only piece of information I found regarding this was Stefan Johnsson’s post on here in 2021 about palm rejection interacting weird with the tilt function, and after experimenting on my iPad I was able to replicate the same behavior he had, and came to the conclusion that maybe we have the same problem. This happens with a drawing glove and without, with apps that use tilt. My iPad is the 13 inch m4 (2024) running iOS 17.6.1 with a new replaced pencil pro after my first encounter with this phenomenon. Right now my only solutions to this problem is to hover my hand over the iPad instead of resting it on it, or disabling tilt, which is a bummer. I hope apple has acknowledged this problem by now. Thank you to all who answers.
