To avoid a session of Q&A, Q&A  and Q&A

Download the Application Etrecheck ( External Link ) directly from the Developer.

The Application is Not a " Silver Bullet " it is only a tool to examine the Hardware / Software used on this computer

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer.

It makes a coherent and readable inventory of both the Hardware and Software used on the computer

The application is free or paid for added features.

Q - Heavy CPU usage - Some processes are using an unusually high amount of CPU.

Q - Unsigned files - There are unsigned software files installed. These files could be old, incompatible, and cause problems. They should be reviewed.

Q - Runaway user process - A user process is using a large percentage of your CPU.

A - All 3 of above are indicators of some series of Applications / Processes  that are overwhelming the computer with excessive RAM  usages and  creating a need for a  Swap File.

A - You start by checking if Microsoft One Drive is current and up to date

Launchd: /Library/LaunchAgents/com.microsoft.OneDriveStandaloneUpdater.plist

/Applications/OneDrive.app/Contents/StandaloneUpdater.app/Contents/MacOS/OneDriveStandaloneUpdater

A - Same goes the Adobe  Synchronizer Finder Extension

[Loaded] Adobe Content Synchronizer Finder Extension - /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Sync/CoreSync/Core Sync.app

A - Did notice and External Drive being used.

A - Not sure for what. But the fact that ApplicationsStorageExtension 6 (Apple) is listed as Top Energy User  tends to indicate it does impact  the Overall System

A - Does this Drive connect via Direct Connection or over a Powered USB Hub ?

Top Processes Snapshot by Energy Use:

  ApplicationsStorageExtension 6 (Apple)

Virtual Memory Information:

  Physical RAM: 16 GB

  Free RAM: 48 MB

  Used RAM: 12.45 GB

  Cached files: 3.51 GB

  Available RAM: 3.55 GB

  Swap Used: 519 MB

1 - Clean up:

/Library/LaunchAgents/com.microsoft.SyncReporter.plist

/Applications/OneDrive.app/Contents/SyncReporter.app/Contents/MacOS/SyncReporter

Executable not found

2 - Not is you are using Applications/Utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud/ACC/Creative

3 - USB 3.1 bus

GenesysLogic - USB3.1 Hub

GenesysLogic - USB2.1 Hub

xxxxxxxx - USB Type-C Digital AV Adapter
