Verify that you charged like this: Charge the Apple TV remote - Apple Support
- To a USB power adapter in an AC socket,
- or to a USB port on a computer,
for at least 30 minutes. To charge from <2% to 100%, it may take up to 3 hours.
There are no indicators on the remote to show that it is charging. You may look up the charge level in the Apple TV Settings, for a paired Siri remote.
the Apple setup box also not turning up
The status light on the front should glow continuously, when plugged into power.
If the status light is off, then the Apple TV box is in sleep mode, or unpowered.
If the status light is flashing continuously (after ~15 sec), then the Apple TV box failed to start up properly.
