In Calendar "The server responded with an error" message

Hoping someone can help. My calendar is now frozen and force quitting or rebooting entire computer isn't helping. Have this error and it's non responsive if click on revert to server. I even tried going on my phone's calendar and deleting all event related to the July 17 date, in case that's causing it. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately the error message isn't very helpful in identifying the cause of the problem.

I'd take different approach - start at System Settings -> Internet Accounts and go through your different accounts and disable the Calendar option.

At the very least this will stop Calendar trying to communicate with whichever server is causing the problem. At best, re-enabling this setting might clear whatever problem there is.
