how to remove Apple ID activation lock without password on 2019 MacBook pro?
Amost 3 years ago, I allowed someone who was a friend at the time to use my 2019 MacBook pro temporarily while their computer was down.... When The time come for me to ask for it's return back, he wouldn't respond to my messages & calls.. so I popped by his place and knocked on the door until it was answered and finally handed over. Success.
Or not. I didn't know he had replaced the device's activation lock Apple ID credentials with his own. He's EXTREMELY tech savvy and one might even call him a hacker. When asked him to remove the device or help me get back in it somehow, he ignored me. It's been almost three years. My girlfriend is determined to get it done herself but neither of us can afford the Apple Support bill if it comes to that.
Q--- My question is, how can I bypass this Activation Lock without any way of accessing current owner account verification methods?
Things to know that potentially stand in the way --
1.) I don't have another Mac to use to help recover.
2.) I thought I wasn't going to be able to access my original Apple ID due to no longer having that email, attached iPhone device, or phone number. .. BUT my girlfriend just successfully logged in thanks to saved password & text verification where she had once changed the 2step verify To her phone # and since forgot. Still don't have the password for the Gmail itself if I were needing to check that inbox because I'm locked out of that Gmail .. only the Apple ID account is accessible (or hopefully so)
3.) I don't have receipt or proof of purchase, unless Apple can find record of my past expired AppleCare plan I maintained for the first two years upon purchase.
4.). I have no way to get to the main login screen because I'm stuck on Internet Recovery boot loop leading to Activation Lock wall.
5.). I don't know the original factory Admin password but I'm assuming he likely changed it, anyways.
6.). I don't know The operating system installed that I'm assuming it's the original oSx or perhaps updated to what was at that time of 2021.
+++ I do have an iPhone. I understand I can't make a bootable installer for this particular make n model (but read somewhere it could be possible but it's a process). I haven't tried asking other people I know if they have a Mac I could use to tether to mine for Recovery & Install.
Q--- Please tell me there's a way around this without taking it or spending money....
Q-- Is it possible the device may recognize my original Apple ID account as a previous owner or possible main user.
(Im unsure if he completely removed my Apple ID from the device or if he just added his own User profile and left me as the primary owner.... If he did then he likely definitely changed the admin password for the sake of full access abilities while in his possession.)
