Can’t reset MacBook Pro's password as unable to connect to WiFi

I recently moved and got a new internet set up. When I went to sign into my MacBook Pro, I had forgotten my password. I can’t reset it because I need to put the new WiFi information in. I don’t have access to the old WiFi. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could do?

Get yourself an Ethernet dongle for your MacBook Pro, and wire your MacBook Pro to your ISP's router.

You'll need a dongle that does not require any add-on drivers.

Most ISP routers have some small number of RJ45 sockets on the router itself.

That's where you'll plug the Ethernet cable into.

That'll probably get you past the first hurdle here; will probably get you network access.

The cheaper alternative is to go to a location where you've previously connected to Wi-Fi, and reset there.
