SSD Envoy won't appear in External Devices

I just got an Envoy Pro 1A for my SSD from my Early 2015 Macbook Air. I tried plugging it into my new 2024 Macbook Air, but the device isn't showing up in my external devices. I tried other computers as well including a 2017 Macbook Pro and a 2019 Macbook Air, because I read somewhere it may be a problem with MacOS Compatibility. I assume people will tell me it might be my USB adapter not connecting, but bear in mind that the light on the Envoy does flash when I plug it into computers. But I don't know, i'm flying a bit blind here, does anybody know what might be going on?

I don't know if this is it – but Apple added a security feature to Mac notebooks with Apple Silicon processors (like your new 2024 MacBook Air).

You must approve of new USB or Thunderbolt accessories, or else the Mac may decide to block data transmission, allowing power transmission but nothing else. This is protection against certain types of hardware-assisted attacks that are theoretically possible, but unlikely in practice.

If your Mac asks you to allow an accessory to connect - Apple Support

Your Early 2015 MacBook Air would have always allowed accessories to connect, without requiring you to give any explicit permission.
