iMac 2017 21.5 inch broken screen .

Hi , I have the above iMac with a broken screen , my question is , can I use an older 21.5 inch screen unit on my 2017 model ?, if so to which year is compatible ? , I don’t need 4K Retina display etc , just a decent screen which I can get at a fair price , but older . Thanks

As you've already been told, no. However, you can get and use a 3rd party 27" or 32" 4k monitor. They can be had for around $100 to $350 depending on the size and brand. If you need a webcam that will have to be an additional add-on.

If you get a monitor with built-in speakers it would be a good one to use with a new Mac Mini if you decide to upgrade.
