safari on ipad: "default space for database storage"

Safari on the desktop allows users to specify the default space for database storage (from 1 to 500 MB). Can I access this configuration option somehow on the ipad? Oh, please, say yes! (or tell me that the ipad enforces no limit.... that'd be alright too....)

Thanks!

There is no setting option on the iPad for the data base. On the Mac:

Websites that provide tools for you to create and edit documents sometimes store your documents as databases on your computer. You can increase or decrease the amount of space available for this purpose. If a website requires additional space, a message will appear on your screen.

Why not try it on your iPad to see you even create or edit documents via Safari. I do know that you can't currently edit Google Docs.

The ipad/safari has terrific support for the html5 database function. Through settings/Safari, browser-created databases can be browsed. Each database shows the amount of data consumed so far (mine uses 156 KB, but that's just initialization....) plus the max size, which shows up read-only as 5 MB.

Safari desktop explicitly supports setting that 5 MB to a larger value. If the ipad somehow exposes the configuration switch as well, then I'm set. If not, then I need to start worrying now about what will happen when my dataset grows too large, and given my working constraints, I'm not sure what I'll do, though I'm sure it will involve tears.
