Remove payment method

I have one subscription iCloud. I was paying .99/month with Apple Cash but last month My Apple Cash was insufficient so I added a visa credit card to pay .71 of the charge. I’ve since added $50.00 of Apple Cash and it is THE DEFAULT PAYMENT METHOD. I am trying to delete the Visa credit card but I am unable. The message id you cannot delete because you have a subscription associated with this card. How do I change the association to be with the Apple Cash and not the card so I can delete the card ? Do I need to wait for the next payment to be taken from the Apple Cash then will I be able to delete the visa?

You need to have a card for a subscription even if another method will eventually pay for the item.

Here is how you update your payment method on an iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the Settings app.

2. Tap your name.

3. Tap Payment & Shipping (formerly Media & Purchases). You might be asked to sign in with your Apple ID.

4. Tap Add Payment Method, enter the new payment method, then tap Done.

5. Tap Edit.

6. Tap the red delete button next to the old payment method, then tap Delete.

Also note:

1) ”If you change your address, the credit or debit card information that you use with your Apple Account might be automatically updated by your financial institution, and you don't need to take action.”

2) “If there's an issue [such as you having a subscription or being a Family Sharing Organizer], add a new card first, then remove the old card."
