Mac mini (2024) power cable

My new Mac Mini came with a Type A electrical plug as used in China, i.e. no holes as expected for a USA outlet. This seems a bit weird to me. Is Apple no longer providing country specific power cables? The cable works fine, but I understand the holes typical to USA Type A plugs allow for a more secure connection in the outlet.

Type A is the correct power cord for the Mac mini in the U.S.

It should fit tight in the wall outlet.

If not, perhaps the outlet is worn out and needs to be replaced.

Another option is to try a different outlet or get and use a surge protector strip.
