Missing Wi-Fi icon and app issues on iPhone 16 Pro

I'vepgraded to an iPhone 16 Pro. However, I have no wifi icon (top right of screen) and modt of my. apps wont work. The strange thing is tgat i have internet access - hence me writing this post on my new phone. It's not a broadband issue.

I have tried resetting my router and also my new phone several times but this has not resolved the issue. My broadband provider is adamant it’s not their issue. They have referred me to Apple but I thought I’d try the community first. This must be a problem others have faced and solved (I hope). Can anyone help? I guess there must be some adjustment to certain settings required?
