Considering buying iPad Air 4 or 5

I'm considering buying an iPad and am trying to choose between the Air 4 and the Air 5. I plan to use it mainly for animation and school purposes. Apple Intelligence isn't a must, but it could be nice to have, and I plan to store everything in iCloud. also, the Apple Pencil 2 is a must.

iPad Pro (5th generation)

The 4th-generation iPad Air is now two generations old and was discontinued over two years ago, so I'd advise against buying one unless your budget just doesn't allow for purchasing a newer unit. The 4th-gen Air also won't support Apple Intelligence, while the 5th-gen having the M1 processor will (and because of that would be significantly better for animation creation). There are refurbished 5th-generation iPad Air units in the US Apple Store (and perhaps in other countries) that you could consider if budget is tight.

Regards.
