iPad Air 4th gen not charging.

hi guys, i already searched online but ive yet to come across someone in the same situation as me,

so im making a post.

i have had this ipad since 2022 and always treated it wonderfully.

i had a problem with the charger given by apple in 2023 and so i got it changed (it is not an apple one this time)

but after that, i had no more problems, everything run smoothly.

the day before, i update the ipad to ios18, all far so good.

during the evening i got a pop up “liquid detected in your usb c port” for quite some while even if i was near no water substance in that moment and i wasnt even charging the ipad, strange but i looked it up.

and so i let dry my ipad as apple itself suggest for 30+ mins.

it fixed the problem, no more pop up and i can charge my ipad like usual.

the next day, eventually my battery run out but this time it doesnt seem to detect the charging cable, even if its connected, i try using another cable, nothing, i try changing the power source, nothing.

eventually i decide to restart the ipad and surprisingly enough, while its turned off it seems to detect the cable (i unplugged it before turning it off) and the ipad turns on.

so far so good but no, as soon as it turns on it says for one second “charging” and the second later there is a text literally near the battery icon saying “not charging” this has never happened to me and i even looked it up and i couldnt find informations about it.

so i start plugging and unplugging, i change the power source as well but the same things keep happening.

thankfully, after doing so for a few times, it finally detects it and it starts charging…

i got scared but i thought this would have been a one time thing, and i was happy it resolved itself.

but no!

today, my ipad eventually ran off and i tried to charge it as usual, but it did not detect the cable again.

i retried doing the same procedure before turning it off completely and wait for the same thing that saved me yesterday happen.

thankfully it does, i let my ipad charge fully like usual.

but this time i got curious, now that my ipad is fully charged i tried plugging the cable again and.. surprisingly it doesnt seem to detect it any longer, even if it just got charged.

and this makes me wonder.

could this be watt related? does the ipad take a certain type of charge when its completely turned off?

im pretty sure this isnt a cable matter, since i tried using another one and the same results happen.

but its neither the port…? i think, to be fair i didnt try using nitpicks etc inside it because i saw so many people recommending against it.

and i dont think the battery died like cmon, i only had it for 2 years and it was brand new.

i do admit im using it a lot lately... should i use it less or this has nothing to do with the usage itself?

does anyone have any ideas, anything, why does this happen? i want to fix this, thank you.
