I wanted to set the screensaver to memories, portraits etc on my Apple TV 4K iOS 18. Still syncing for days, only aerial screensaver appears. Tried to delete the account and set it back, tried to set a small album, but not working. Photos app is working fine with iCloud.

I see there are more people with this issue. I alaso have it! Did someone fixed it? It's annoyng to have those options and not be able to use them because it's syncing forever....😞

Same thing. In the beginning, it only worked with about 5 photos. Now, after one of the recent major updates, it is stuck on syncing when I try to select it in settings. Since apple tv can already access my photo for other screensavers, Infind it unlikely that it is a settings issue.
Yes, I deleted a few games. But it was not the solution. The screensaver was working with the same 5 pictures, and as it was boring, I tried to set up again, and now it is syncing just as before. :(
Not at all. I hoped that 18.2 will solve this, but I cannot install it, ends with an error message to try again later. In fact, it started acting strangely, uninstalling apps, downloading from the cloud every time I launch something. This must be some kind of memory issue.
This almost sounds like a Microsoft support thread at this point … Since Apple seems to have no intention of helping here … I’m asking hoping it might prompt SOME solution … has anyone had any luck fixing the forever-syncing photos issue?

I deleted some unnecessary apps, and now synced. Maybe that was the problem.
Like apps on your Apple TV? Which ones?
Also having same issue. I used to be able to have the Album covers from music as the screen saver but because the Apple TV device is stuck on sync I can no longer do that.
I don’t have any apps in the device other than a handful of streaming apps.
