Apple Music on doesn’t work after upgrading from iOS 17 to iOS 18

I work at a bar and airplay my music from my iPhone 13 Pro Max on iOS 18.1

I used CarPlay in a 22 Ford Ranger.

issue 1

Intermittently and often,

When one song ends and the next song begins, the next song will play no sound.

(while air-playing to Sonos speaker)

Work around: skip song.

Issue did not occur before upgrading to iOS 18.

issue 2

Persistent issue.

When one song ends and the next song begins the sound spikes or drops. Sound check is on.

• I’ve powered the phone off and on after closing all the apps.
• I’ve turned sound check off then on.

work around: none

Issue 3

When song 1 ends and the song 2 begins, song 1 will still be on display.

Intermittently and often.

Usually occurs when lyrics are on display.

Issue did not occur before upgrading to iOS 18.

Work around: toggle “up next” menu.
