Forgot App Store password on iPhone

If you forgot your App Store password on your iPhone and want to recover it, I can only think of a couple of 'hail mary' moves:

1. Check iCloud Passwords. Go to Settings > Passwords on your iPhone. Use Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to unlock. Look for any saved passwords related to your Apple ID or App Store; it might be stored here.
2. Check your Browser. Go through all your browsers, on the phone and computer, and look for anything related to "Passwords and Autofill". You'll need the password for the browser. Then look search for anything apple.com.

If that doesn't work, then I think you're out of luck, no different than if you had access to someone else's phone. Apple won't make it easy for you to find out the password.

1. Reset the Password. Open the App Store, tap on your profile picture in the top right, and try to sign in. If you see a prompt, tap Forgot Apple ID or Password? Follow the steps to reset it through your email or security questions.
2. Use Apple’s Website. Go to iforgot.apple.com on any device. Enter your Apple ID and follow the instructions to reset your password.
3. Two-Factor Authentication. If you’ve set up two-factor authentication, Apple can send a code to your trusted device or phone number to help you reset the password.
4. Contact Apple Support. If none of these steps work, reach out to Apple Support. They can help you recover your account.

Once you have your new password, save it somewhere safe so you won’t forget it again.

The App Store password is your Apple account password.
