iOS 18 Camera Issue
I'm writing to report a recurring camera issue on my iPhone 13 Pro that began after I updated to iOS 18. Since updating in early October, the camera has not been functioning properly, with the following specific issues:
- The camera automatically opens in 2x mode.
- The 0.5x mode is no longer accessible.
- The camera struggles to focus correctly.
Despite two subsequent software updates since iOS 18, the problem has persisted with no improvement.
When I reached out to Apple Support, I was informed that the issue might be due to a "hardware-related software issue." Consequently, they declined to perform a free repair and instead suggested a camera replacement at a cost of €229.
Given that this problem originated directly after the iOS 18 update and has continued across updates, I believe it should be regarded as a software issue rather than a hardware defect. I respectfully request that Apple address and resolve this issue without additional charges.
Additionally, as you can see in this thread link, this issue is affecting not just my device but many others as well.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt and favorable response.
