You mean you don't have a Junk folder on your doc? [Trash / Junk is the same thing in my book.]
By the by, thanks for the quick response. But you didn't answer my Q. etresoft . . . or did you?

I can't answer your question because I don't understand it.

Or at least I didn't understand it before. If you were referring to the Trash, then that's something different. I had thought you were using one of those scam "clean up" apps that advertise the removal of "junk" files.

I don't know why you would have that file in your Trash folder. I can tell you that there is a file named "com.apple.StatusKitAgent.plist" located in /System/Library/LaunchAgents.

I don't know why there would be a similarly named file that that strange suffix in your Trash. The file is in a protected system folder. Unless you've disabled your system security, then only Apple can modify that folder. I don't see any modifications of this file since Sonoma 14.7. If you had recently upgraded from an older version of Sonoma, then perhaps it could have been changed.

Probably the least likely explanation, virtually impossible in fact, would be some kind of breach.

etresoft - looks to me that it's still here . . . hope you read my reply & questions about this just put in earlier.

It looks like they put it back. I did read your reply, but apparently you didn't read mine. I asked about this "junk" you were referring to. Where are you seeing this? Until you answer that, this question is dead in the water.

Thanks, but I looked at SystemSystem/Library/LaunchAgents - Neither "Library" nor "Launch Agents" were found in the list of items.

You can't just randomly type in things that look similar. That won't work. Originally you posted something extremely specific. Did you just mistype that too? Or should I assume that what you typed is just close enough to the real file and I shouldn't bother?

I just wanted to know if this was done remotely into my computer by Apple, or it was spam.
Too, why did it come in & out on the same day at the same time & what is it all about?

All I can do is ask more questions about what you are talking about. I don't know what you mean by "come in & out on the same day".
