Incorrect keyboard letters on iPhone

The problem is I tried 2 different keyboards and when I type the sentence below; this is what I get



The auick brozn fox ju,ps over the lqwy dog


I have tried in system settings but no change::

a replacing q means you have the French azerty keyboard active.


To fix this, go to system settings > keyboard > text input > edit > all input sources and make sure that there is only one item on the list, and that the name of that item is US. Use the minus button at the bottom of the list to remove French and anything else besides US from that list.

If you are talking about using a hardware keyboard with your iphone, and not with your iMac, you still have French active by mistake, but the fix is different than the one in my earlier post. See

Thank you very much for your help, I have been working all day and changing keyboards :-)


I am running Venture and was busy adjusting the keyboard settings with no result...


Stumbled upon the keyboard in the top right bar of the screen... and this indicated Belgium ... now I changed back into Dutch and problem solved !

Because it is very easy to switch back again by just hitting the wrong key, I recommend you still go to the All Input Sources list in the Keyboard Settings and use the minus button to remove Belgium from the list.
