I updated to version 11.0 and now Final Cut freezes after every edit

Yesterday I had no issues editing on the previous version of Final Cut, and at the end of the day, I updated to version 11.0.

I turned on my computer today to edit, but after every adjustment (i.e., cutting a clip, rotating a clip, adding clips to timeline) my curser turns into that loading rainbow ball and Final Cut will freeze for about 10 seconds.

Once un-frozen, playback and timeline skimming is smooth... until I make another adjustment and the cycle repeats.

I've tried force quitting Final Cut, restarting my computer, shutting down my computer, and editing on old and new Final Cut Libraries, but this issue remains unresolved. Any suggestions?

I'm editing on an M2 Max Mac Studio with 64 GB of memory.

Mac Studio, macOS 15.1

Start by deleting preferences, and do so again whenever the application misbehaves.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting the application and click Delete Custom Settings. The application will start with default settings and open an "Untitled" library. Adjust the settings, reopen the library you were working, and see how it works now.

If the problem persists: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box. Do you happen to have Chrome, or some "cleaners" or "antivirus"?
