APPLE 4K TV volume is low when connected to a projector

Hi,

Issue:

I have a new Dangbei DBOX02 proector that comes with Google TV. The audio from the Apple TV added to Google TV is great. The audio if I watch the same content from my Apple TV library VIA my 4K Apple TV plugged into either of the two HDMI ports is sadly, and I MEAN sadly lacking. 1. The volume is about 40% lower. 2. Even if I crank up the volume of the audio system to compensate, the quality of the audio is no where near as good as when the same source is steamed from the Apple TV app installed in the Google TV platform in the projector.

I have the audio connected to my sound system VIA a Toslink optical cable.

One partial solution:

After researching learned that by adjusting the audio settings in the Apple TV from 5.1 to stereo made a noticeable difference. But in no way is the audio as load or as good as it is when using the Apple TV app added to Google TV. Even at the same volume the audio quality from the Apple TV app installed in the Google TV puts the audio from the Apple TV to shame! Much better highs, and lows, better sound stage, and separation. This really matters if you are watching a live concert.

My question is: Will a solution ever be coming? After reading so many reports of Apple customers having the same issue why hasn't Apple done something? Why buy another Apple TV ever again? Use use the app on Google TV!

But, I do not want to be married to Google!! I'd rather use my Apple TV.

I've been a solid Apple fan. So much so I never set up Google TV on my Sony OELD. I use my other 4K Apple TV.

Background.

When setting up a new projector, a Dangbei DBOX02, I noticed Google TV came with the Apple TV app preinstalled. The idea of not having to bring out the Apple TV each time interested me so I tried it out. That's how I found the issue

After researching and contacting Dangbei support, their engineering dept. after testing confirmed after the Apple TV installed in Google TV is much loader than the Apple TV plugged into the HDMI port.

I quote "after testing, we confirmed that the volume from the projector's built-in GTV is indeed louder compared to the Apple TV source. We consulted with the GTV software provider regarding this issue, and they informed us that the VOLUME_CURVE differs across modes, which is a normal occurrence."

Again, I do not want. to be married to Google TV. But in this case I have no choice.

I would really appreciate knowing if this is going to be fixed.
