operating system 9 emac voice recording

20 years ago I made a little recording of my daughter singing. I still have the eMac & would like to be able to find the recording & save it. I don't remember the program or app that I used. It was just a little blurb, not a whole song. Does anyone know what I am talking about? what app? what extension on the file? thank you!!

If you were using an eMac 20 years ago, you probably used QuickTime to make your recording. If it was strictly an audio recording, the file probably has either an MP3, AIFF, AAC, WAV or MOV extension. If it was a video recording it would have a MOV extension. Use the Finder to search for files with those extensions.
