mac syncing my photos from icloud is nuts!

so i got a mac. been doing iphoneography for years. it’s syncing them to all these random places! applications. downloads (i didn’t!). pictures. photos app. documents. and just random places. i cant even work with some or move them, and it’s not getting them all. not even close, it’s been three months now. but it will somehow resync deleted stuff over and over. i can see maybe a few hundred in photos app (on mac, and now on icloud and all my devices. ye gods.)

but i have thousands. and then there will be a l handful somewhere, then a few elsewhere. i only find them by chance, and i’m unsure if i should move them. i tried a couple of times but it didn’t work. edits i *can* do, don’t show up on iphone or ipad. some do, but most don’t, and those also don’t always go into the photo abum.

and new stuff is added out of order, like i took some yesterday but they showed up before older ones. i’m not used to a mac and i don’t know what to do or how to find missing stuff. when i looked at icloud it also seemed to not have everything—and yet, it relentlessly finds deleted stuff and syncs it to everything.

to top it off, now the little auto movies iphone makes are pulling stuff frame weird laces. notes. the books a. grocery lists. etc. it made one today with old bank statements, stuff i store in ibs, and who knows where. what the ****?

i’m really, really upset because i work hard on my art and photography, even selling some from time to time. now…i don’t even know what i have, or if most of it is lost or just..not visible to me. it’s also messing with sharing. i’ll make something nice, go to share it, and it’s not there on iphone but it’s on the mac, and vice versa (same for ipad). some stuff won’t open in editing apps on mac, i assume because it’s not where the apps are expecting to find photos.

what on earth is going on? and how can i fix it? (macaroni is my mac’s name, i didn’t expect it to be a choice here, i don’t know if that shows for the community or just me. “choose your device: iphone, ipad, and … macaroni. lol!) it’s all of them now but it seems like the fair f macbook and must’ve icloud, t but it’s affecting everything now.
