How do I clear my Apple Account balance to change region?

I need to zero out my Apple balance to change region. I can't spend it (5$), and I've spent weeks trying, but I still can't. I even tried contacting support, but there's no contact form on support.apple.com. I'm stuck. Can anyone help?

Hello!

I see you want to empty your account balance. This is not something the people on this forum—other users like yourself—can do for you. You can use one of the methods below:

1) If you are trying to zero your balance and still have a valid credit or debit card from your original country, you may purchase an item from the App or iTunes Stores for more than your balance. The remainder will be billed to your card, leaving you with nothing in your account balance. This is the easiest solution (you can do it yourself!), plus you get to use your money for something for yourself instead of donating it to Apple.

2) Alternatively, you could ask Apple Support to remove and keep the balance. Use this link Apple provides to take you directly to the managing and editing an Apple Account people who will do this for you --> https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=kbase&PGF=PGF63005&category_id=SC0998&symptom_id=20198

This is more direct than using Official Apple Support which will just eventually lead you to the same place after some searching.

If the above direct link does not work for you, go to https://getsupport.apple.com/?s=n , enter “empty balance” or “zero balance” in the search line, press enter to search, then on the next page select “Clear Apple Account balance”. On the next page select a chat or telephone call option.

Alternatively give Apple a phone call. Find a list of telephone numbers at: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

You have a US credit card billed to you in the USA? That is what your image implies. You have omitted some information though, such as a security code (which you should not post -- in fact you have posted too much private information already). You say you have a card from Geogia. Is that the one you show where you have entered a USA address? If it is, the address must match the one for the card billing and must also match the country to which your account is set. It would be pretty unusual for a bank in Georgia to issue a credit card to somebody who was living in the USA.

Is there absolutely no contact method provided for anything in Georgia on Apple's web site? I am in another country and it is not easy for me to explore contact methods in other countries on Apple's web pages, particularly since I would not understand what they say. I know others have posted about not being able to contact Apple when having this issue and there is no solution of which I know. Unfortunately Apple has really limited support options over the past few years. If you account is set to the USA, you need to contact USA support for help. That should be possible if your account is still set to the USA, but you cannot phone Apple, you will have to chat with them.

I'm sorry then. I don't know what to advise. A few years ago there were ways to contact Apple no matter where you were in the world. Apple has since isolated each region for support and for some they provide no live support and there is nobody to contact. If the online services do not work for you then you're stuck. As I suggested earlier, keep on trying the various support pages and see if there is any page that provides support. I cannot try this for you because when I do it keeps on returning me to the US version of the pages.
