Downloading macOS Monterey install image for bootable USB

I want to download a bootable disk image of Monterey that I can expand onto a USB drive so that I can re install macOS on my old laptop.

I don't want to create a bootable disk on a similar MacBook Pro since I don't have one.

Is there a way this can be done?
