Synology Cloud Station

I just signed up for multcloud and am considering setting up a sync task to keep iCloud photos and my Synology DS220+ in sync. The only issue I have is that multcloud uses FTP for NAS sync. At the same time, this seems like a bad security practice for obvious reasons. Can I use Synology's Cloud Sync to sync my photos to my Synology? Do you think this will work with iCloud?
