The Canadian government has to approve that feature. They have not announced a date yet.
I understand. Do you know if AirPods hearing Aid feature will have higher gain than the its current transparency feature?
I've been using the APP's transparency feature to increase volume and brightness and it works well. Do you know if the upcoming feature in apple canada will do do more especially in the area of volume?

Using the transparency feature, while it may help with somethings, is not the same as a hearing aid. The hearing aid feature should be better though, as far as I know, you'll still have access to transparency.
A lot is also going to depend on your particular needs.
