FCP 10.8.1 will not import FCP iPad 2.1 project files

It appears that there has been a change in the iPad xml structure that is not compatible with FCP 10.8.1. When I try to import FCP iPad project file I get this message. The error message below was repeated no matter which of my project files I tried to import.

"The operation couldn’t be completed. One or more of the libraries were created with a newer version of Final Cut Pro. These libraries will be ignored."

Mac mini, macOS 13.7

I suppose you need to update to FCP 11 on the Mac.

As always, make a zip of the existing version, as you may need to use it later; and backup your libraries.
