Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem - Apple Support (CA)
you could also try “Safe Mode” :
Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support (CA)
see if the problem reoccurs in “Safe Mode”
oh, and how is your printer connected to your Mac Book Pro? Hp’s support page for your printer mentions a Firmware Update released Mar.5th 2024… have you tried applying it- it’s for MacOS 10.15.. hp does mention you might need to
Install Rosetta 2 to keep using your printer in MacOS Sequoia .it also mention you should use HP Smart ( available on the App Store) for installing drivers, etc
