Apple Music launches when I plug my iPhone into the USB port of my car

I have two problems playing audio on my iPhone through my cars USB jack, or streaming any other device:

1. When I plug into an audio device like my car, my iPhone immediately starts playing Apple Music. I don't want that to happen. I would rather iOS wait until I select an app.

2. When I hit the play button on an app, like Spotify or Audible, I have to hit play twice. The first time it plays for a second then switches back to Apple Music. I have to hit the app's play button a second time. I would rather not have to hit the play button twice.

I don't use Apple Music, but if I delete it then none of my audio apps will play on my car. It seems like iOS requires Apple Music to stream audio to another device. How can I get Apple Music to stop interfering with my other audio apps?

Using an iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 17.6.1.
