Screen saver and wallpaper issues on 2023 MacBook Air

So after 3 hours i finally got the wallpaper to cycle through all my favorited photos and the screen saver is coming on HALF the time but other times it just blacks out my screen? And when i turn my macbook on it keeps putting my old wallpaper and making me change it again. Im sorry but after 3 hours of my time im frustrated and ready to sell this thing. Its a 2023 macbook air so it shouldnt be acting like a 2018 lol
