Is there any way to put vscode to put in nap when its in background. It takes a lot of power of my MacBook!

App nap, to my knowledge, is something the developer has to enable. I don't think it's anything we users can set ourselves. However, if you've not updated to the October 2024 release, do so and see if that fixes the problem. High CPU usage is one of the things they mention as being fixed in the release notes.
