iOS TV remote app won't connect to AppleTV when it is connected via ethernet.

This has worked fine prior to the latest software updates. There must be a bug because it's the same network. If I pull the ethernet connection and the AppleTV connects to Wireless, it works fine.

I can’t replicate this issue, so the software updates themselves may not be the (whole) cause of this issue.

Verify that your router is set to combine the wired and wireless as one logical network. It would probably also require that the wireless network isn’t split up using several SSID network names, as that conflicts with combining.

Unless someone else chimes in with a new idea, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).

Thanks, I have two wifi routers with the same SSIDs. I disabled one but the Apple remote app still will not connect when I plug it back into ethernet. However, it will connect to my LG TV. Homekit seems to work but it says controls are not available.  I will try to combine my 2G and 5G networks next.  Nothing has really changed other than the OS updates.
