AppleTV remote stutters when connected to HomePod

So, I have an appleTV 4K with one week, bought an HomePod mini, and found out that when the HomePod is set as the audio output the remote disconnects and stutters.

remote via iPhone it works normally, tried with a second remote and the issue persists.

works fine with AirPods or tv speakers

already reset and updated both the AppleTV and HomePod.

also tried putting the HomePod far away from it and also replaced the hdmi cable, the same issue.

Found out that if the hdmi cable is disconnected the remote doesn’t stutter, but that’s no fix.

already seen a couple of posts with the same issue and I’m sad there’s no explanation or fix for this after a few years

Not sure what could be causing that. These shouldn’t interfere at all, as they share nothing. One uses bluetooth, the other uses AirPlay over the home network.

Unless someone else chimes in with a new idea, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).
