seach for folders with custom icons in spotlight

I want to find all folders without a custom icon on a hard disk / directory via spotlight.

In spotlight i got the option "Kind" is a "Folder" +

"Custom Icon" + "Yes No, Any", option, but it's without function.

I wonder why this is impossible with spotlight.

Years ago, can't remember the MacOS, it was possible…

Spotlight is no longer registering a kMDItemFSHasCustomIcon result when a custom icon is present on a folder that has a custom icon purposely set on it. The why is a question for the macOS Product team.

Tested: macOS Sequoia v15.1

Note: the optional developer tools (Xcode or command line tools for Xcode) install /usr/bin/GetFileInfo that when run in the Terminal:

/usr/bin/GetFileInfo -ac /path/to/folder_with_custom_icon

reliably returns 1 if the folder has a custom icon.

Also, a folder with a custom icon will have a file in it named Icon? Even so, the following fails to find the folder on my Desktop with the custom icon:
